Dear Parents,
The Red Rock Elementary PTO is comprised mainly of parent volunteers.  We are here to help parents, guardians, teachers and faculty work together to provide the best elementary experience we can for our students.  Our mission is to provide students, staff, and parents with the financial and volunteer support to enrich our learning community.  Fundraising is our primary way of supporting our mission. 
Thank you to the parents that were able to attend our first PTO meeting of the 2014 school year.  Please know that everyone is welcome at all of our meetings which are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  A list of upcoming meeting dates can be found in your parent handbook and on the Red Rock website.  Our September meeting focused on the PTO budget and funding.  The PTO is being asked to fund about $40,000 worth of expenses this year and our budget reflects these requests.  That means we need all of your financial and volunteer support.  We fundraise through a variety of ways throughout the year including the pledge drive, carnival, pancake breakfast and book fairs, just to name a few.  These are all fundraisers where we are asking parents for their financial support, but there are many other fundraising opportunities that do not.  We would like to spot light one now:
Do you shop at Target? If you are a Target REDcard holder (debit card or credit card) you can designate Red Rock Elementary to receive a donation from Target equivalent to 1% of all your purchases! To identify Red Rock Elementary to receive donations based on your REDcard purchases, go to or call 1-800-316-6142. Not a Target REDcard holder? Call that same number or visit that same website to enroll and start saving 5% of all your purchases while earning money for our school . Remember to ask grandparents and other relatives to identify Red Rock on their REDcard accounts too. Thank you to the 135 families that have already designated Red Rock on their REDcard account which resulted in over $6,000 being donated last year!
